the blocked country

After watching the video about North Korea it was probably one of the most interesting videos that I didn't fall asleep on. First of all the whole idea of not being able to have cellphones is ridiculous. Everything around people in North Korea is so blocked that they aren't able to see the world in any different way than in their country. It's really extreme how everyone lives by fear and believes that without their leader they would be nothing. What was really shocking was the moment the American girl asked a Korean family what would happen with Kim Sung Il did something wrong. The facial expressions portrayed how brainwashed they are to see him as the God of their world and they must worship him. I can't imagine how one person can have so much power when his own country suffers from famine and he doesn't do much about it but live secretly in luxury with limos and cognac. I also was very shocked when the reporter asked an old blind woman if she got her sight back what is the one thing she would want to see. Instead of answering more logically by saying her kids or her family or the sunrise she answered her leader. I also don't understand why North Korea and South Korea can't somehow figure out a plan to make peace. They are right next to eachother and together they could succeed in many things rather than on their own. I still can't get it out of my head how isolated and brainshwashed people are in Korea. It's really unbelievable how their hospitals are as well. The sadest clip in the video was the young child on wooden cracked floors laying connected to an IV in a BEER bottle and very malnourished as if he/she was dying. Their conditions are terrible.
