North Korea
I think that the North Koreans live their lives according to fear, but do not even realize it. The way that they were brought up, and the examples that were around them just raised them not to question things. There are consequences for doing the wrong things that might put fear into the hearts of people that want to rebel, but most of the people in North Korea seem to not understand how much better their lives could be because they are so isolated from the rest of the world. They don't have the cell phones, or internet that allows them to see how things operate in other countries. They only know what is going on in the immediate world around them, and need to cling to some form of hope and happiness which for them comes from Kim Jong Il. I think he sybolizes happiness and good things for a lot of people, and they want to thank him for everything they have because they feel he is the one who ultimately gave it to them. I think they live out of the love they have for him but only because of the symbole that have made him out to be in their lives. But they unconciously live out of fear.
