Smokin'

I have to admit that I started smoking at the age of 12 when I used to live in the city. Of course it was the cool thing to do and when you are young all you want to be is cool. My parents at the time were also smokers which always made me curious to what was so addicting about it. Before I began smoking I used to hate being around smoke especially when my parents smoked in the car or nearby. But now I really don't care since I am one of those smokers. Howver if I am with friends that are bothered by smoke I will not light up a cigarrette. I respect their health and hope they never start. The ban doesn't bother me much at all because even though it pisses me off that I can't smoke a cigarrette after a drink at the bar ( after a couple drinks is when you want that nicotine the most) this ban will eventually help me to quit. Also it will be much nicer to walk into a bar with fresh air rather then walking into a room suffocated with smoke. The fesh air might even reduce a bad hangover the next day. The city could become a much healthier place for night life entertainment. Even if I want a cig at work, I have to walk much further to a smoking designated area which also reduces my need to go actually smoke one. With the ban I believe I smoke less and that may lead to completely quitting.
