VIKES hours

We are all aware of at least some of the many crises’ that plague our world and VIKES gives us a chance to help, at least in our community. But although VIKES is a good way to help out the community, I think that we could do so much more. Im not saying that I move mountains or anything with the volunteer work that I do or that I do more than I should because I don’t. but one thing I can say is that I plan on continuing my volunteer work long after VIKES is over and I want to take the time to help out at more than one organization. I think that VIKES is a good way for us all to get our feet wet in the volunteer world but I really hope that a lot of us continue with the work we do. I think that as teenagers, a lot of us really don’t know what is going on around us and unfortunately we are labeled as “not caring” but I want to prove people wrong and I really hope that we take this opportunity and do as much as we can with it.
