V.i.K.e.S

The V.I.K.E.S program is going to be a great experiance I can already tell. I am not quite sure where I am voulenteerng yet, but I think anytime someone voulenteers it makes a difference. Even if it is an assignmet I am glad we are doing it becuase it's importnant to find time to stop thinking about our normal lives and ourselves for once. I have voulenteered before and it is something I think everyone should do. I agree with a previous post on how it doesn't have to be world changing to make a difference....the small things matter just as much in giving back to people. Mr. Spoor asked us in class what we are doing as individuals to make a difference, and right now I would say I am not doing as much as I could to give back. I think after my season is over in a few weeks and I have more freetime, I am going to find more time outside of the VIKES hours to do something that will give back to the community. I'm torn between two places to voulenteer for the VIKES program, so maybe I will just do both.
