vote!

im really excited that im going to be able to participate in this election. never before has there been two front-running 'minority' candidates. i dont think i would be as interested if we had the usual options; white, 50-something, male... and someone that i dont feel represents me at all. also i think everyone is pretty pumped to get someone new in office and see some change, theres so many things that need to be addressed, from the environment to iraq. and its so important for us as the youth to vote because alot of those decisions are going to directly effect us. like it's our friends and brothers and sisters that are going to be fighting in the war... its our health and our childrens health that is going to be effected by the gradually worsening global warming, ect. im not 18 so i cant vote in the primary but as far as the election goes, i am def in favor of obama.
even though im not a fan of hilary, i think its great to see a woman in such a powerful position, with both obama and hilary being minorities i think it really shows how far weve come as a country in truly being open-minded. its a big step weve taken and hopefully we'll continue to progress in that direction.
