YiKeS

I think that it is really sad that they are disconnected from the world. I couldn't imagine living that way, but also I am used to freedom and our way of life, so I guess I cannot really grasp what life is like for them. Maybe they really do like it? I mean you can't miss something you never really had right? At the same time though I feel like makybe they all act under fear. Someone in their lives all hours of the day and involved with every aspect must be quite frightening at times. It has to be so hard living with that weight on your shoulders and the feeling that someone is watching you all the time. I find it really disturbing that it has gotten this bad and that the tension between Americans and NK is still there, not to mention between the north and south. It is unbelievable to me that no more than a few fences, lines, blocks, walls and guards lies two completly different life styles. I feel wrong criticizing their lifestyle, and I have to keep an open mind, but I do feel bad for them and the disconnection they have suffered.
